For several years, numerous actions have been implemented in the municipality of Bozouls to protect bees and preserve biodiversity. In 2023, the municipality obtained the Apiqué third bee label for two years to highlight its increased commitment to its awareness-raising actions on the importance of pollinators and environmental protection, supported by the municipal children’s council, the fight against the Asian hornet, the planting of honey plants, the installation of an apiary managed by Aimé Boulet and the “zero pesticides” approach.

From January 7 to February 25, the municipal media library will host a captivating exhibition entitled “Save the bees”; it will allow you to discover the fascinating world of the domestic bee, Apis mellifera. The exhibition is enriched with multimedia content accessible via the SynApps application for smartphones and tablets.

Two tablets will be available to the public. Photographs, interviews with researchers and video reports will allow visitors to discover the secrets of these essential honey-producing foragers.

Bees play a crucial role in our ecosystem. They pollinate a large majority of flowering plants, including many species that we eat.

You can discover the protective measures put in place to protect the bees.

Richly illustrated with photographs and reports, the “Save the Bees” exhibition offers an immersive visual experience.

This exhibition is on loan from the Aveyron Departmental Media Library.

The structure’s team has developed a program of activities with the creation of a “Bee happy quiz” for the whole family, the provision of a selection of books on the theme and class receptions adapted for each level.
