Asus resurrects the era of transparent cases while taking the concept into the future with an integrated E Ink display.

Going back to basics has never been so futuristic. With its NUC 14 Pro AI Plus, Asus makes a nostalgic nod to the transparent cases that marked the end of the 90s, while infusing it with a color E Ink screen. We already know this miniPC, but in a more sober case.

This transparency is not just aesthetic – instead of hiding the components behind an opaque facade, Asus puts them in the spotlight. This is reminiscent of the Freebox Ultra in limited edition for the 25th anniversary of Free.

An E Ink screen connected to an AI app

Asus goes so far as to add a color E Ink screen. The Taiwanese manufacturer has even integrated an application to create images using AI and display them directly on this screen.

Under the (transparent!) hood, we find the latest Intel Core Ultra (Luna Lake) processor. Asus has also added a button dedicated to Microsoft Copilot, with integrated microphone and speaker, to interact vocally with your machine.

The connectivity is not left out: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4… Everything is there to make this mini PC a ready machine capable of competing with the Mac mini M4.
