Samsung is thinking big for its QN90F and Q80F TVs with models up to 115 inches

During its First Look event, Samsung announced the marketing of very large televisions. These are the 115-inch QN90F and 100-inch Q80F models, here are all the details.

The new Samsung QN90F range of televisions, unveiled at CES 2025, introduces the brand’s first model with a giant 115-inch diagonal. This makes it possible to compete with TCL with its X955 series. Normally, the QN90F series comes in several sizes from 43 inches up to 98 inches with the same Glare Free anti-reflective treatment as the Samsung S95D and S95F OLED series. But the 115-inch version does not benefit from this. On the other hand, the latter benefits from Supersize Picture Enhancer technology, specially developed to maintain optimal image quality on this exceptional dimension.

Otherwise, all QN90F series TVs rely on Neo QLED (Mini-LED backlight) technology, combined with the new NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. This combination provides image quality optimized by artificial intelligence, in particular thanks to 4K AI Pro upscaling. The panel displays a refresh rate of 165 Hz, particularly useful for video games.

In addition, this series can count on the integration of an integrated 60 watt audio system, configured in 4.2.2 channels, supporting Dolby Atmos for optimal sound immersion.

An intelligent range, ready to provide you with many services

Like the brand’s other 2025 TVs, this QN90F series can count on the integration of artificial intelligence which is also manifested through several practical features such as Click to Search (display on the screen of information on details of the ‘image currently being broadcast), Samsung Food and Live Translate. This is what Samsung calls the Vision AI feature, a set of artificial intelligence technologies that also automatically optimizes display settings based on the content being viewed.

The collaboration with Microsoft allows for the integration of Copilot Plus, offering advanced voice interaction possibilities. You can, for example, ask the television to organize a trip abroad by having it select the places to visit and the places to eat before having all the information sent to your smartphone.

In addition, image processing benefits from significant improvements, particularly in color and contrast management. Intelligent upscaling precisely scales lower definition content to display in 4K, preserving visual quality regardless of source.

The Q80F series up to 100 inches diagonal

The new Samsung Q80F series is available in 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches. It offers a Mini LED backlighting system associated with Quantum Dots technology for colors. The screen benefits from the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, which analyzes and optimizes each image in real time. The television offers native Ultra HD definition and supports HDR10 and HDR10+ formats.

The panel offers a variable refresh rate, particularly suitable for gaming uses. The four HDMI 2.1 ports allow you to take full advantage of new generation consoles. The audio system includes four channels with a power of 30 watts, compatible with the Dolby Atmos format. Here too, we can count on the Vision AI functions, as on all Samsung 2025 televisions.

Of course, the Tizen interface, which equips the Q80F, integrates the main streaming applications and connected services. The Gaming Hub centralizes access to cloud gaming platforms, allowing you to play without an additional console.

Finally, note that the audio part is not left out with a 4.0 channel system which ensures precise spatialization of the sound. Dolby Atmos compatibility enhances sound immersion for compatible content.

Availability and pricing of the Samsung QN90F and Q80F series

For the moment, Samsung has not communicated on the prices of the different screen sizes for both the QN90F and Q80F series. We should know more in the coming months as well as their availability date.
