Fujifilm has revealed new updates of firmware for five of its most recent hybrid camerasaiming to improve autofocus accuracy as well as subject tracking performance. The models affected by these updates are the X-T5the X-T50the X-S20the X100VI and the GFX 100S II.

To start the year 2025 off right, Fujifilm took advantage of last month of 2024 to update most of its hybrids still sold. Improving autofocus is common to all these updates. AF monitoring also benefited from these upgrades.

The latest APS-C hybrids et medium format of the manufacturer are concerned, as well as le compact expert X100VI. Only the very “young” X-M5 is not updated. Its firmware is undoubtedly already equipped with these improvements.

Note that end of November 2024Fujifilm had already updated its most high-end hybrids : X-H2S, X-H2 and GFX 100 II. In addition to improving autofocus, these cameras gained the format F-Log 2 C in video, as well as time code synchronization via USB.

Moreover, certain devices which are no longer commercializedlike the X-T20 or the X-T2 have received a fix to resolve problems when connecting with the Fujifilm Camera Remote application.
