Dangbei presents the MP1 Max and announces the marketing of the Freedo

During CES 2025, the Dangbei brand announces the arrival of its new MP1 Max video projector, combining LED and tri-laser technologies. It is accompanied by the Dangbei Freedo which we have already seen during the IFA 2024 show.

Presented at CES 2025, the MP1 Max stands out for its hybrid light source combining LED and tri-laser. This technical approach significantly reduces the classic problems of RGB laser projectors such as speckles and color fringing. Next-generation Qualas laser technology provides expanded color space coverage. Factory calibration according to the D65 standard ensures remarkable colorimetric precision with a Delta E less than 1, depending on the brand.

In addition, this Dangbei MP1 Max model will offer a brightness of 3100 ISO lumens allowing use in broad daylight without requiring total darkness. Additionally, the filtering system built into the hybrid light source reduces exposure to harmful blue light, thereby reducing visual fatigue during long viewing sessions.

A redesigned audio system and ergonomics

We appreciated the audio capabilities of the Dangbei Mars Pro 2 during our test. Here, the sound aspect has not been neglected with the integration of two 12 watt speakers, supplemented by a 750 ml sound chamber, according to the brand. The system can reproduce bass up to 45 Hz, providing a rather immersive audio experience.

While the Mars Pro 2 is delivered without a swing system which can however be purchased as an accessory, here the major innovation lies in the integrated support allowing a vertical tilt of 135 degrees and a complete horizontal rotation 360 degrees. It’s the same principle as on the Hisense C2, C2 Pro and C2 Ultra (which also has an integrated subwoofer). This flexibility allows you to project on all surfaces: walls, ceilings or floors. The InstanPro AI 2.0 system automates image setup with real-time focus and geometry correction.

Extensive connectivity under Google

The MP1 Max’s connectivity includes two HDMI ports, including one eARC compatible, a USB 3.0 port and a dedicated audio output. Wireless connections include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring optimal compatibility with external devices like gaming consoles or audio systems. If the model presented works under the proprietary Dangbei interface for the Chinese market, the international version will be equipped with Google TV, like the brand’s DBOX02 (Mars Pro 2) and Atom models. This platform will provide easy access to streaming services and multimedia applications.

The launch of the Dangbei MP1 Max is scheduled for the first half of 2025 for a price that has not yet been communicated.

Dangbei Freedo, designed for mobility

At the same time, Dangbei announces the arrival of the Freedo on the market. It had already been presented to us during the IFA 2024 show, last September. This is a compact video projector designed for portable use. This new model, which will be marketed on March 4 on the main European sales platforms, combines portability and audiovisual performance.

The Freedo directly competes with the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro, for example. Like the latter, it stands out for its ultra-portable design with a lower weight than a standard laptop. However, this model includes a battery offering a battery life of 2.5 hours, allowing you to watch a complete film without external power. The USB-C port also allows charging via external batteries to extend usage time while on the go.

The device comes with a specially designed carrying bag for easy transport and protection. Its adjustable support with an inclination of 165° allows great flexibility in positioning the image, whether on a wall or on the ceiling.

Adapted audiovisual performance and an affordable price

Despite its compact format, the Freedo offers a quality visual experience with Full HD resolution and a brightness of 450 ISO lumens. Color coverage exceeds 90% of the DCI-P3 space, ensuring faithful color reproduction, according to the brand. In addition, the 360-degree sound system completes the package for successful audiovisual immersion. Onboard artificial intelligence, via the InstanPro AI Image Setup system, automatically optimizes the image with real-time focus and keystone correction.

The Freedo, which runs Google TV, is presented at CES 2025 before its official marketing on Amazon in several European countries including , Germany, Italy and Spain. It will be available for a price of around 500 euros.
