Retrospective 2024 and editorial topics for 2025 – FredCavazza.net

2024 was a year particularly rich in digital-related innovations and upheavals. Obviously, artificial intelligence and generative models have taken center stage, but in the background, we are still in a dynamic of digital transformation of our daily lives, the economy, and society (fourth revolution industrial).

Like every year, I offer you an overview of my editorial production: 40 articles were published on this blog in 2024, of which 29 talk about AI! Editorial activity is therefore constant from one year to the next, because I also published 40 articles last year (see 2023 Retrospective).

On the other hand, cumulative reading time is up 15% with a total of 627 minutes, or 10 hours 45 minutes, with an average of almost 16 minutes per article and 6 articles with more than 20 minutes of reading time.

Two records were broken in 2024:

Most read articles are :

The article I am most proud of is From Web4 to Society 5.0an overview of the evolution of digital uses and their impact on our society. A theme that I have addressed in theory since the opening of the blog in 2003, but which is starting to take a much more significant turn with the beginnings of a new digital civilization.

My editorial topics for 2025

Now let’s talk about the year ahead and the topics I plan to cover:

  • Artificial intelligence and generative modelscontinuing from 2024 with an analysis of uses and new features;
  • Intelligent agents and digital assistantsto fully understand the evolution of technologies and the market;
  • Digital transformationbecause I remind you, everything remains to be done! ;
  • Augmented / virtual / mixed realitybecause competition is relaunched with the return of Google, and because we are at the dawn of a new mobile revolution (Meta is reportedly adding displays to its Ray-Ban smart glasses);
  • Regulationbecause the supervision of digital technologies and uses will intensify (AI Act, new ePrivacy directive, evolution of the MiCA regulation, etc.);
  • Metaverses and video gamesbecause immersive media remain almost virgin territories;
  • Web3, blockchain and cryptocurrenciesbecause the market is clearly revived with the election of Trump.

Obviously, this list is not exhaustive, because the year 2025 will certainly reveal many surprises to us that we will have to decipher and analyze. On this subject, I intend to continue the publication of monthly videos on my YouTube channel: Decryption of digital news.

In 2025, I may also tackle more technical topics. Indeed, I recently set myself a new challenge: not to climb Everest, but to resume coding studies, in particular a double course at MIT via the EdX platform (Computer Science et Machine Learning), which provide me with a very different perspective from my vision as a marketer. But I will have plenty of opportunity to talk to you about it again…

I wish you happy holidays and see you at the beginning of next year. ????????????
