It is with pleasure that the Techno-Science.net team sends you its best wishes for this new year 2025. The year 2024 that we have just closed was rich in discoveries and significant advances in the fields of science and of the technology.
Among major events, the James Webb Telescope continued to push the boundaries of our understanding of the Universe. His observations accentuated certain inconsistencies with current scientific models, notably galaxies and black holes in the early Universe that have masses much larger than we thought possible. These findings call into question certain foundations of the cosmology and promise to redefine our vision of the origins of the Universe.
Artificial intelligence, for its part, continued its meteoric rise. We have noticed that it has been exploited in 2024 in a growing number of scientific disciplines, from biology to physique of the materialsimpacting the way researchers approach certain problems. AI has become a true companion of researchexpanding the horizons.
In the field of space exploration, SpaceX has achieved a breathtaking technical feat: the first catch of the booster of its mega rocket Starship. This advance marks a turning point in reducing the costs of kilogram in orbit and paves the way for rapid evolution of space missions. With an ambitious goal of 25 Starship launches planned for 2025, we will undoubtedly see one year spectacular for space exploration.
Also not to be overshadowed are the challengers of “New Space” and private space in general, who are currently working on technologies going, for some, beyond what SpaceX currently offers in its portfolio. Particularly on autophagic or aerospike engines, which could well gain momentum.
As we begin this new year, hopes for 2025 are immense. The scientific and technological advances of the past year reinforce the idea that we are at a turning point in innovation and scientific discoveries.
