the essential
This new show is aimed at 4-7 year olds. In the Cité de l'Espace Planetarium, little ones get to know the sky and all its treasures. A great idea for an outing until Sunday.
At the microphone, it's Julie Fauré who, at the start of this afternoon, will host this half-hour show, under the vaulted screen of the Planetarium, at the Cité de l'Espace. In a reassuring voice, she invites young children, accompanied by their parents, to “react” during this captivating visit to the sky in all its dimensions.
While the ceiling of the Planetarium turns pink, we discover the Ariane rocket in the foreground. Julie adds clouds above our heads, then rain, lightning, thunder and even snow. She then asks the young audience to look for the rainbow. The children get involved in the game.
We embark for Mars, the moon…
The host now invites us to fly alongside the birds, the planes… We even follow the takeoff of Ariane 5 and here we are on board the ISS space station, “the home of astronauts. From here, we observe the Earth in their own way,” she explains. The journey does not stop there since the host takes us ever further, to the Moon, Mars with the Perseverance robot, we even cross the rings of Saturn. We spot the planets visible to the naked eye, we follow the shooting stars… The children want more. Their parents too. By creating this show, Julie Fauré wanted to “make the Planetarium accessible to young children and bring them into space more easily. I start from what they know, the weather, birds… Then, we approach the planets using different approaches. always very easy”, concludes Julie. Pure enchantment!
