Before the start of the new year, Xbox Game Pass members still have a handful of days to try out a few games before they leave the catalog.
It’s been a special year for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Price increases, end of day one releases for everyone… Microsoft had to make choices this year following the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard and the crisis which is impacting the industry. The Redmond firm must more than ever make its service profitable, but when we see everything that Xbox studios are preparing, it clearly has a bright future ahead of it. While waiting to discover all of the new features for next month, Microsoft has lifted the veil on the final releases of Xbox Game Pass for 2024.
The final departures from Xbox Game Pass for 2024
If the month of December is always a little different, the cycle continues. Usually, the Redmond firm announces future arrivals to the catalog twice a month. End-of-year holidays oblige, Microsoft is somewhat reviewing its communication calendar by settling for a single wave of new features. On the other hand, departures are always done in two stages. Releases all go on the same dates, in the middle and at the end of the month. In order to give latecomers and the most curious time to discover the unfortunate chosen ones, the publisher systematically reveals their identity in advance. On December 31, 2024, six new games will leave Xbox Game Pass. Productions with varied aura and quality, but there are clearly some that are worth the detour.
Last chance, for example, to have a few laughs with your friends in the Party Animal party game. An independent title that made a lot of noise when it was launched. 4X fans still have time to play a few games on Humankind, which has continued to improve with updates. As always, these departures will quickly be compensated by new arrivals. A few games have already been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in January 2025. A list which will obviously be extended during the official announcement next year:
