While CES 2025 does not open its doors until January 7, LG has already started to announce some very interesting points about these new 2025 television ranges. While we await all the information on the famous C5 series and G5, among others from the brand, it is on the QNED TV series that LG has chosen to communicate ahead of the show.
For its new LCD televisions with Mini-LED backlighting, the South Korean company indicates that it has abandoned quantum dots in favor of a new proprietary technology called « Dynamic QNED Color Solution ». According to the brand, this solution allows you to obtain purer and more realistic colors directly from the backlight. The entire 2025 range has also received Intertek certification for its colorimetric volume, attesting to its ability to faithfully reproduce colors without distortion.

Wireless makes its debut on QNEDs

Last year, LG offered the M4 series which was equipped with an OLED panel, exactly the same as the G4 series, but which communicated wirelessly with an external box for connectors which could therefore be hung more harmoniously on the wall. This year, LG is offering the same principle, but with its flagship LCD QNED9M model. The latter integrates True Wireless 4K technology, previously reserved for the OLED evo series. It allows you to stream 4K content wirelessly with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, without compromising on image quality or latency. The system also relies on the external Zero Connect box which transmits audio and video signals, requiring only a simple power cable for the TV.

Artificial intelligence, advanced customization and a new remote control

The α8 AI processor powering the 2025 models delivers 70% improved AI performance compared to the previous generation. Its abilities include:

– More sophisticated scaling

– An analysis of the director’s intentions to adjust image noise

– Optimized processing of faces, objects and texts

– 2 channel audio conversion to 9.1.2 virtual channels

LG announces the arrival of a new AI Magic Remote. After several years of good and loyal service, this accessory seems to want to change shape and offers new functionalities. There are still few details, but LG says it has a dedicated AI button to analyze viewing preferences and make personalized recommendations. The system leverages a natural language model for contextualized searches.

LG QNED TVs up to 100 inches diagonally

To meet the growing demand for large premium screens, but also to keep up with the competition with their large, very large 100, 110 and 115 inch televisions including Hisense and TCL and soon Samsung, LG is expanding its QNED range with sizes ranging from 40 to 100 inches. In addition, as on all of the brand’s televisions and video projectors, we can count on the integration of the webOS 25 operating system with the guarantee of five years of updates via the webOS Re:New program.
