New version for Microsoft’s PowerToys, with good news for people running Windows 10. The New+ utility, added with version 0.85, now works on the “old” system. New+ allows you to add entries to the Windows context menu, to quickly create folders and files based on templates.
Several other significant improvements are available, such as support for Progressive Web Apps in Workspaces (which we had taken over). They can now also move windows rather than having to systematically create new ones. Let’s also mention the possibility of customizing the pop-up windows for Mouse Jump or even the possibility of selecting the character sets which should appear in the interface with Quick Accent.
Version 0.84 corrects and streamlines certain behaviors in the suite’s applications. In the preview pane, the extensions use the PerMonitorV2 DPI mode to eliminate the scales that may appear depending on the scale (DPI). We also note several file types added to Preview, including .ahk, .ion and .srt.
The new version can be installed by searching for updates in the main PowerToys application (accessible via a double-click on the icon in the notification area) or retrieve it from the GitHub repository.
