Switch 2 design leaked again! Officialized by Nintendo last May, the console that will succeed the Nintendo Switch is eagerly awaited by gamers. And even though we know almost nothing about it, Nintendo Switch 2 leaks have been multiplying for weeks. They generally come from third-party companies which manufacture accessories for the next Nintendo console, and after Satisfye which recently stood out by launching pre-orders for the Zen Grip 2, the design of the Switch 2 has been 100% leaked to Dbrand.
New images of the Switch 2!
This time, it's even more convincing since the design of the next-gen Nintendo Switch 2 console was leaked by accessories designer Dbrand who shared a glimpse of the back of the case on his social media pages. The accompanying message read: “We will not answer any questions at this time. »
A little less than 20 hours later, Dbrand posted a direct link to a page titled “Switch 2,” with even more details on the case it calls the “Switch 2 Killswitch.” It's on the page itself that we get a better look at what appears to be the design of Nintendo's next console. An animation of the case rotation shows off the Switch 2 console in full, with the curved joy-cons and extra buttons already seen in other leaks.
To top things off, Dbrand CEO Adam Ijaz confirmed to Insider Gaming that the actual design of the Nintendo Switch 2 is indeed what we see in the case animations. “That's right: this is the Switch 2 with our Killswitch case (similar in principle to our Killswitch for the Steam Deck, ROG Ally and ROG Ally X)”. The circle is closed.
The Switch 2 had already leaked from another accessory manufacturer
In a promotional video, since deleted, we could also see the Zen Grip 2 on a mysterious console. Supposed to improve the handling of the machine, the Zen Grip 2 are available for pre-order with a release date announced for spring 2025. The big clue is the mention on the accessories that they are intended for the next console -gen from Nintendo.
This therefore leaves little room for doubt as to the machine that was highlighted in the video, and even if the latter is no longer online, several images have been recovered and show the overall design of the console, very similar to the original Switch. However, we notice an additional button on the right Joy-Con, as suggested by other leaks.
Things are obviously moving behind the scenes for Nintendo's next console, and its reveal today seems more imminent than ever.
Last November, Shuntaro Furukawa, president of Nintendo, confirmed again that the next console would be announced during the current fiscal year, in other words by March 31, 2025. All that remains now is to wait patiently for the firm speaks.
