Google is likely preparing for another attempt at implementing the smartglasses project, including a new patent for glasses with a built-in screen, speakers and eye-tracking technology.
Here’s what we know
The patent was filed in China through the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
These smart glasses will need to be connected to a smartphone to process data, which will save battery life.
In addition to a screen and speakers, the glasses are equipped with a microphone, cameras and support voice control, taps and gestures.
They will also use location data to provide advice and navigation functions.
Although it is only a patent, the technology has already reached the level necessary for successful implementation of smart glasses, and it is quite possible that such devices will appear on the market in the future close.
