It's difficult not to have a week without iPhone SE 4. Apple's next affordable smartphone, mid-range for short, is indeed entitled to its weekly rumors. While the Apple firm's 5G modem should be on board as a priority on this model, the photo part would not be unknown.
Indeed, ET News confirmed on November 8, 2024 that LG Innotek will provide the sensors, and that there would be two: one of 48 Mpx located at the rear and one of 12 Mpx positioned at the front.
A combination which is not surprising given previous information leaks. In fact, we heard in October, through 9to5Mac, that the iPhone SE 4 would be entitled to the same sensors as the iPhone 15, but without the ultra wide angle.
With this new photo configuration, and in particular the new main sensor, Apple would have notable selling points compared to the iPhone SE 3. “For example, Apple will probably use the 48MP sensor to say that the new SE can take photos with 2x 'optical' zoom”reports 9to5Mac. We also think about the technology of pixel binning.
Obviously, the list of improvements made with the iPhone SE 4 would not be limited only to the photo part. This includes an updated design, a 6.1-inch OLED screen, Face ID, USB-C, the A18 chip, Apple Intelligence…
The formalization would wait until March 2025, with a price logically revised upwards.
