Intel’s new Battlemage-based desktop graphics card, Arc B580, has surfaced thanks to Videocardz, who spotted its packaging online, along with its key specs. who spotted its packaging online, along with its key features. X leaker @Olrak29_ gave us an idea of its approximate performance, which matches a previous Geekbench listing where we saw the graphics card in action for the first time.
The Arc B580 has 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM at 19Gbps on a 192-bit bus. Although its TGP is unknown, it requires two 8-pin power connectors, and it boosts up to 2.8 GHz. From a performance standpoint, it will rival an AD106 GPU found on the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti. Additionally, the name B580 suggests that this is Battlemage’s highest performing card. This tacitly means that Intel has abandoned the previous rumor with 16 GB of VRAM, which, among other things, was supposed to rival the RTX 4080 GeForce.
Still, if priced right, the Arc B580 can still be a great mid-range option, where it will compete with AMD’s RDNA 4 SKUs. Nvidia’s Blackwell-based mid-range models (xx60/xx70 models) won’t arrive until the second half of 2025, giving Intel and AMD unfiltered access to the coveted market. Driver support for Battlemage SKUs should be significantly better this time around, thanks to the platform that is already present on Lunar Lake devices.
