Tim Cook (general manager) and Greg Joswiak (marketing director) spoke publicly on the occasion of the launch of Apple Vision Pro in new countries. The mixed reality headset is arriving in France, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Appreciated for its software value proposition, the device has already been tested in Europe, generating mixed feedback on the hardware. Today you have to pay no less than 3,999 euros to get it, with the basic edition equipped with 256 GB of internal storage. The first deliveries to us are expected on July 12, just two days after Samsung’s next Unpacked conference.

Apple Vision Pros can be tested before purchase. The manufacturer is indeed organizing hands-on sessions hosted by its official stores, which can be found in major French cities such as Paris or Montpellier. iPhones and Macs are also available on site, with a plethora of native apps also available on the VR headset. For example, users can create documents with Pages, consult files stored in the cloud with Box or mix on virtual turntables with the djay platform.

Discounts already available on some sites

With its price tag inaccessible to many, the Apple Vision Pro is not for everyone. But you only need to visit a few reputable online marketplaces to get a brand new, blister-packed version, with a mandatory two-year manufacturer warranty included, for much less. This type of item is indeed exchangeable up to 3,300 euros according to our research, but of course these figures are subject to change in the future. Such an amount still represents more than 17% reduction. This is considerable for a reference which has not yet been released by the manufacturer, but this could be explained by divergent opinions, again, on the device.

Users particularly regret that comfort is not the most optimal, despite Apple’s clear effort to try to remedy this. According to critics, thetwo-hour battery life is, moreover, quite limited. Not to mention plugging in a new external battery if you get to the end of the first one, however. This figure is, moreover, close to the results offered by the equivalent Meta Quest headset. As a bonus, the two internal screens of the Apple Vision Pro have been praised for their quality since their debut.
