After a launch in China, the Redmi Note 14 is preparing to land in new markets, including Europe. We expect models for the first time only 5G, with new chips, AI and new features in photos.
Xiaomi has announced the launch date of its Redmi Note 14 series for international markets, including France. The three new models (Redmi Note 14, Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+) will be officially presented on December 9, 2024a few months after their release in China. The smartphones are expected to be made available shortly after the announcement.
For this generation, Xiaomi could simplify its range, one of the most popular of the manufacturer for its value for money. The Redmi Note 13 came in five different models, including 4G or 5G compatibility. This year we might have just three models, all supporting 5G connectivity. Enough to clarify the offer, which could generate confusion among consumers.
What price for the Redmi Note 14?
Xiaomi mentions the arrival of advanced AI features and camera improvements to tease its next devices. They also benefit from a new design, with a redesigned photo block and thin borders around the screen. We can also hope for materials that are a little more noble than plastic for the frame of mobiles, at least on the Pro models.
If Xiaomi integrates the same chips on the European versions as on the Chinese versions, which is likely, we will have:
- A MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra SoC (6 nm, 2.5 GHz) for the Redmi Note 14
- A MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC (4 nm, 2.5 GHz) for the Redmi Note 14 Pro
- A Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC (4 nm, 2.5 GHz) for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+
The chips in the Pro models will not necessarily be much more powerful, but they should offer much better energy efficiency, resulting in better autonomy and better controlled heating.
Of course, the interest in these smartphones will be closely linked to their price. The Redmi Note are known for being good mobiles, housing a large battery, for an affordable price, which makes them very popular for users who are not necessarily looking for a high-end smartphone.
