Bluetooth audio sharing is unlocked
The most notable new feature, noted by the English-language publication AndroidAuthority, lies in a new feature called “Audio Sharing”, which can be translated as “audio sharing”. This feature was already visible in preview versions of Android 15 a few months ago, but was never implemented in the final version. So here it is again, this time on Android 16, and was spotted by Android Authority. Thus, thanks to this functionality, it is possible to share the audio of media from your smartphone via Bluetooth, in order to offer a friend the possibility of listening to the same thing, at the same time. That is, two different Bluetooth devices can be connected to the smartphone at the same time.
To take advantage of it, simply go to the settings of your Android smartphone, then access the “Connected devices” menus and finally “Audio Sharing” or “audio sharing” in French. Here you choose the name of your audio channel and then determine a password for your acquaintance to connect to your device in order to enjoy audio on it. When the connection is established, a notification appears to let you know that you are sharing audio from your smartphone. So, for example, you can go to YouTube, watch a video, and your friend will have access to the audio of the video at the same time as you.
