Google’s first Pixel Watch is under €150 in the sales

[Deal du jour] The first Pixel Watch of the name was released in 2022. It is certainly not the best connected watch on the market, especially since the release of the second model which corrects a lot of faults. But at less than €150, Google’s watch is still worth it during these summer sales.

What is this connected watch from Google?

The Pixel Watch has a great quality: its very elegant round design, which is accompanied by excellent finishes. The strap is comfortable, but the 41 mm case may not suit larger wrists. The watch is discreet when worn and its sober style is a plus, despite the slightly wide edges. You will have the possibility to personalize its appearance with several strap colors.

Its AMOLED panel with a definition of 450 × 450 pixels and a density of 320 ppi offers sufficient brightness for outdoor use, even in direct sunlight. Visibility is optimal thanks to a function to adapt the screen to ambient light. The Pixel Watch is therefore a comfortable watch to consult. Too bad that for the rest, the Exynos 9110 chip is not up to par. The watch too often suffers from slowdowns and a response time that is too long, which can be painful if you use it very often.

Is the Pixel Watch worth it on sale?

To be honest, Google’s smartwatch is only worth it when it’s on sale. The summer sales are therefore a great opportunity to get one. The Pixel Watch 2 is of course a better watch, but still costs a whopping €399. Apart from its few flaws, it fulfills its contract adequately. Many sensors measure your health or your sports training with results that sometimes lack reliability, but are sufficient for correct monitoring. The classic heart rate readings, electrocardiogram or GPS tracking are more precise.

Note that the watch works with 41 different sports. Recently, new features have appeared, such as automatic activity detection and automatic stopping of workouts, or better compatibility with Google Maps. Finally, in terms of autonomy, the Pixel Watch lasts around 24 hours and fully recharges in a little over an hour.
