Microids announces the release of a remake of the first Little Big Adventure.
French publisher Microids has just revealed the first images of Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest, a remake of the first part of the franchise, a legendary adventure game that has marked an entire generation of players.
Released in 1994, Little Big Adventure is one of the emblematic creations of Frédérick Raynal, the father of Alone in the Dark. It is also one of the great adventure games of the time.
Faithful to the original, this remake will offer a complete graphic overhaul. “Players will be able to rediscover the enchanting universe of the planetoid Twinsun, master the Magic Ball for bouncy adventures and dive into a deeply themed narrative, while exploring levels redesigned for greater fluidity” explains Microids in its press release. Some passages of the title will apparently be slightly modified. Microids also mentions a reworked handling and a completely redesigned soundtrack, by the original composer.
The story of the game will take place on a planet surrounded by two suns on which harmony reigned until the day a scientist invented teleportation and cloning. In the shoes of a model citizen who has become a fugitive, the player will have to counter the machinations of the clones, armed with a magic bullet.
With its atypical universe, its animated style and its unique gameplay, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest promises to be one of the good surprises of 2024. The title will be released on PC, PS4/5, Switch, Xbox One and Series.
