Launched in 2015 to celebrate Amazon’s birthday, Prime Day quickly established itself as a highlight of e-commerce. This year, the event will begin on July 16 and continue until July 17, during the sales in France.

For two days, Amazon is offering flash sales accessible only to Prime subscribers. But don’t panic, you can benefit from a free 30-day trial of the premium offer and thus have access to Prime Day offers. You can always cancel your subscription later if you don’t want to remain a Prime member. Amazon Prime is a program available for €49/year or €5.99/month. It gives access to many benefits in addition to free, unlimited and fast delivery: Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Reading, etc.
Highlight French products
This year again you will be able to support small and medium-sized businesses with the Small Business badge. Prime members will be able to identify products from small and medium-sized businesses and French artisans more easily and quickly, sold in particular on the large French SME store or the Grande Boutique du Made in France. Most of the Amazon.fr product categories are available there: Kitchen and Home, Grocery, Games and Toys, Hygiene and Health, Baby and Childcare, Clothing, DIY and Stationery.
To take full advantage of these 48 hours of promotions, here are some tips:
- Make sure you are an Amazon Prime member. If not, you can sign up for a free trial.
- Download the Amazon app and enable notifications for deals.
- Create a wishlist of products that interest you.
What should you expect?
At present, the e-commerce giant has not yet revealed the details of the promotions, but we can expect significant discounts on a wide range of products. Electronics, appliances and high-tech products are generally among the most popular items during Prime Day. Enough to prepare at a lower cost for the start of the school year or entry into working life.
