Samsung recently renewed its range of mid-range QLED TVs with the Q70D, few changes to the program apart from a slight improvement in contrast and colors as well as the arrival of Tizen 8.0. At Cdiscount, the 75-inch version of this new series is available at 1,049.99 euros instead of 2,390 euros.
Every year, Samsung renews its QLED TV ranges and this April it notably marketed its new mid-range series, the Q70D. Quite close to the Q70C, these TVs benefit from substantially the same technical sheet with slight improvements in terms of image contrast and colors, but the most interesting thing lies in the functionalities, particularly those related to gaming. 75 inches, this corresponds to a diagonal of 189 cm and despite these measurements, the Samsung TQ75Q70D is exceptionally thin with a depth of only 25 mm. This TV also sports a design borderless in order to be totally immersed in its content and to properly appreciate the colors and the contrast ratio of this QLED panel in 4K definition (3,840 x 2,160 pixels). Especially since the refresh rate of 120 Hz allows you to have a perfectly sharp image.
It is possible to enhance the image with the numerous HDR treatments available, such as HDR10 and HDR10+. These extend the dynamic range of the image to give it even more detail and contrast. On the audio side, it’s less impressive. The Samsung TQ75Q70D has a system configured in 2.0 with two front speakers of 10 W RMS each and Dolby Atmos is not required. It is better to pair it with a Samsung soundbar compatible with Q-Symphony to enjoy a real audio experience.
Gaming in 4K 120 FPS and Tizen 8.0 on the program
Although it only costs around 1,000 euros with this offer, the Samsung TQ75Q70D affords the luxury of HDMI 2.1, these ports are a criterion very appreciated by gamers. Since they are capable of transmitting more data per second than HDMI 2.0 ports, it is possible to run games in 4K 120 FPS on this screen. Additionally, VRR with AMD FreeSync Premium helps prevent stuttering and tearing while ALLM makes the TV more responsive by lowering theinput lag.
Finally, like Samsung’s other 2024 models, the TQ75Q70D features the eighth version of Tizen for the Smart TV interface. As usual, this allows you to easily navigate SVOD platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+, and to be compatible with the Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants. Tizen 8 also introduces Daily+, a new panel which brings together health/sports services for people doing sports at home and can even display data from an associated device, such as a Galaxy Watch for example.
