A sure value in the mid-range smartphone segment? Verdict on the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

The Galaxy S24 FE with its Exynos 2400e and wide screen bezels is not necessarily Samsung’s most modern smartphone, but it still scored well in our review with a solid feature set (even if it is not at the manufacturer’s recommended retail price). Samsung itself considers the Fan Edition to be in the upper class with an official retail price of $649 ( ), but you can find this model on Samsung’s site but the model can be found at lower prices elsewhere, such as on Amazon, where it’s currently $574.99.

As the price of the Galaxy S24 FE slowly approaches the $550 threshold in the mid-range smartphone segment, the official retail price of the Fan Edition is hardly competitive with that of the Galaxy S24 Plus. When available in the mid-range, the S24 FE offers a nice feature set with attractive value for money.

When you buy the 2024 Fan Edition, you’re not compromising on software compared to a Galaxy S24. The Galaxy S24 FE uses Android 14 and the internal OneUI (version 6.1) UI, including Galaxy AI. OS updates and security patches will be available for seven years, which is great, especially since security patches are rolled out monthly.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is also very attractive beyond the software level, with a number of premium features. Find out what features have been carried over from the high-end range for the Fan Edition and what fans won’t like in our detailed review.
