THE Google Play Store recently introduced a series of improvements. Since April, it has finally been possible to download two apps simultaneously, a feature users have long awaited. Finally, a few weeks ago, Google strengthened the protection of personal data by requiring applications to offer a procedure for deleting your account and your information, even after uninstalling it.

It is in the continuity of these developments that the Play Store could soon allow automatic opening of applications immediately after installation. This feature, called App Auto Open, was discovered in its version 41.4.19 thanks to a study of its code. This technique makes it possible to predict future features under development. Although these are not always publicly deployed, it seems that Google is actively working on this new feature.

Apps will open automatically after installing them

When the “Auto Open App” – Automatic opening of the Application in French – will be activated, you will receive a notification in the form of a banner at the top of the screen once the application is installed. This message, which will last five seconds, may emit a sound or vibrate depending on the device settings. It will also be possible to make it silent. By default, this new feature will be enabled, but you will of course have the option to deactivate it in the Play Store settings.

For those who often forget to open their apps after downloading them, App Auto Open could come in very handy.

For example, if you download a new email app, it will open automatically once installed. Which will allow you to configure it without having to search through every corner of your smartphone to find it. This will make the more intuitive installation process and practical. At the moment this feature is not yet available and it is not yet possible to make it work with the testing options.
