LinkedIn unveils new AI-based features (which could be useful for your startup)

Different members of LinkedIn’s teams, particularly product teams, took turns in front of an audience of journalists and content creators gathered in the company’s New York offices. This Wednesday, June 12, they unveiled the new features of the platform. The American firm, which claims 30 million members in France, is built with AI ” since 2007 “ and naturally continues to inject this technology into its new products… while ultimately keeping the same objective.

“LinkedIn is about connecting professionals, whether they are people trying to network, whether it is someone looking for an interesting job or someone else who seeks to recruit talent, whether buyers and sellers…”supports its CPO, Tomer Cohen.

Automated and targeted invitations to follow your business page

One of the products presented this Wednesday, the premium company page, goes in this direction and is particularly aimed at small businesses, for $99.99 per month excluding taxes. Its flagship feature? The ability to add a customizable call to action button to your LinkedIn page. Renamed for example “visit website” or “make an appointment”, this button appears below your business name, at the top of your page and in search results. For “build your credibility”, as the platform offers, it is possible to display the awards and certifications received by your company in one place.

This premium version of the company page, which should be available worldwide at the end of July, also lets you know who has visited your page, which can give you ideas on potential talents or prospects to contact. For the same purpose, you will have the possibility of automating the sending of invitations to follow your company page to personal accounts which have interacted with you (by commenting on a post for example) or with similar pages. Finally, generative AI can support the administrators of these premium company pages to write posts “well articulated”.

An advertising campaign designed by AI in less than 5 minutes

This week, LinkedIn also announces its international launch Acceleratean advertising campaign design offer “in less than 5 minutes”, which relies on AI. Concretely – we were able to see this during a demonstration -, from the URL of your product, the platform is able to offer you an entire campaign, with visuals, a recommendation of the budget to commit and forecast results . Everything can then be personalized by conversing with an AI-based chatbot, the visual can even be retouched by hand using Microsoft Designer. “You are in chargesummarizes Tomer Cohen for us. LinkedIn automatically creates everything which should take hours or days and then you can review everything, change everything. And the results are exciting: we’re seeing a 47% increase in ROI for marketers using Accelerate.”welcomes the CPO.

A conversational agent to find the right talent

The product Recruiter 2024, recently reimagined by LinkedIn, also caught our attention. The promise: find the right person to recruit by conversing with AI. So, you could ask him “find me a senior growth marketing leader in Paris who worked in high-growth startups”. “ This saves you a lot of time »assures Tomer Cohen, before giving us another use case. “Instead of having to make lots of, sometimes complex, queries, all I need is to know that one of my team members is awesome and I can write ‘I’m looking for the same type of profile as this person’ »he explains.

Here again, AI helps with connection. “To contact someone you want to recruit, you need to know what they care aboutpoints out the CPO. Today, we help you craft the right message to send, based in part on what we know about this talent and what we know about your business. » When this feature, currently only available in English, is used, the platform sees a 40% increase in message acceptance.

As for job seekers, in the same way, it will be possible to ask LinkedIn “find me a job as a developer based in Lyon with a minimum salary of 40,000 euros per year”. Users of the platform will also be able to rely on a tool to help create CVs and write cover letters. LinkedIn is also investing heavily in its Learning offering, in which “it is now possible to benefit from personalized tutoring thanks to AI”rejoices Tomer Cohen.
