Google hasn’t officially released its round of November updates for its currently supported Pixel lineup. As a reminder, the company now only offers regular updates to devices equipped with Tensor chips. So while the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro (currently $209.99 – renewed at Amazon), the two-month-old Pixel 5a 5G is out of luck in this regard.
Surprisingly, Google was pre-empted in announcing this month’s updates by Verizon. As 9to5Google notes, the network operator has revealed changelogs for the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, and Pixel 9 series, which we’ve linked below. In short, only the latter received notable changes.
Specifically, Verizon describes AP3A.241105.007 as an update for the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8 series to the November 2024 security patch set. Additionally, it mentions bringing vague “general improvements” to unspecified UI transitions and animations. On the other hand, AP3A.241105.008 brings a whole series of bug fixes to the Pixel 9 series, which are as follows:
- Bluetooth
- Fixed an issue with Bluetooth range under certain conditions.
- Camera
- Fixed an issue with the camera tilting when zooming between cameras in certain conditions.
- Display and graphics
- Fixed an issue causing white dots to flash under certain conditions.
- Security
- Provides the latest Android security patches on your device.
- Sensors
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented Adaptive Brightness from enabling under certain conditions.
- To touch
- Fixed an issue that occurred when pressing the keyboard mute button under certain conditions.
- User interface
- General performance and stability improvements to some UI transitions and animations.
