Announced a few weeks ago during a Nintendo Direct, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was certain to become a real phenomenon. The concept is simple: offer players, fans and especially collectors the opportunity to collect the famous Pokémon cards, launched in 1996, on mobile.

Every day it is possible to open two boosters free of charge and without charge. It will then be possible collect nostalgic digital cards featuring old illustrations, but also cards with brand new original illustrations. The interesting feature of this mobile version is that it is possible to have “immersive maps”which will make you feel like you are diving into the card illustration.

Since October 30, the game has already earned more than 12.1 million dollars worldwide(i.e., on average, more than 3 million dollars per day) and (already) brings together millions of players. For comparison, Pokémon Go generates around a million dollars per day. Pokémon TCG Pocket manages to do three times better .

It is no great surprise that the iOS versions are the majority with $10.5 million raisedon Apple devices, while Android versions reported on their side $1.6 million. Based on the number of downloads, the game Pokémon TCG Pocket has already exceeded the mark of 10 million downloads.

A fanfare start which is likely to continue with the arrival in the coming weeks of new packs and new features. For now, it is already possible to collect hundreds of cards and participate in battles.
