The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ has a dual photo module consisting of a 13 megapixel (Mpx) sensor with wide-angle optics (f/2) and an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle opening at f/2.2 .

Module principal : 13 Mpx, f/2

Although it does not rival Huawei’s MatePad Pro in terms of sharpness, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ offers satisfactory rendering in good light conditions. However, there is a slight overexposure and a tendency to smooth certain areas, which can harm the overall appreciation. It nevertheless stands out for its rather faithful colorimetry and better reproduction of small elements, such as our color chips.

During night shots, the Tab S10+ stands out with a better level of detail and a more precise reproduction of small elements, like our drawn characters. On the other hand, the MatePad Pro 12.2 manages exposure better, but its software smoothing harms the whole and generates artifacts that the Samsung tablet does not present. The result nevertheless remains a little messy and slightly noisy.

Already limited on smartphones, the ultra wide angle shows its weaknesses on tablets. In broad daylight, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ delivers acceptable images, but below those captured by its Chinese rival, displaying slight blur, distortion and visible overexposure. Despite these flaws, the photos remain readable. However, in low light, the result clearly deteriorates with blurry shots that are difficult to use, even for use on social networks.

Front and video module

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is equipped on the front with a 12 Mpx selfie camera opening at f/2.4, which offers well-detailed self-portraits, despite slight smoothing and sometimes imprecise exposure. In video, it allows you to film up to 4K at 30 fps, whether at the front or at the rear.

A good point for videoconferencing, although its imposing format, less maneuverable than a smartphone, makes handling more delicate and accentuates tremors in the absence of stabilization.
