After being called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the new opus of this role-playing game saga from Bioware is changing its name.
Silent for several months, Bioware, the Electronic Arts studio, has spoken out again about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The fourth episode of the role-playing game franchise will soon make its return – rumors already imagine it for the end-of-year holidays – under the name Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Behind this new surname, the title makes us understand that the story should have a connection with the veil which prevents demons from arriving in the world and seen for the first time in Dragon Age Originsreleased in 2009. Bioware specifies at IGN that it is a question of “better reflecting the history of the characters” present, but that Solas, seen in Dragon Age: Inquisitionwill remain one of the main antagonists.
Each character will be dedicated to representing one of the factions present in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
We learn in passing that “significant” choices can be made by players with more regions to explore in Thédas, the game world. The “pause” mode, characteristic of the series, will remain possible in order to slow down the action and use a wheel of powers in order to better manage its different characters. Two companions will also accompany the player in this new quest.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will still use the Frostbite graphics engine, used in Inquisition and more generally in the Battlefield series. The first gameplay video will be broadcast this June 11 at 5 p.m., during the Xbox conference.
