Bomberman is an absolutely cult game that punctuated the evenings of many players on the Nintendo at the end of the 80s. Lots of fun and even fun in the manual, a page of which is currently the talk of the town.

Advice and punchlines

Released in 1987 on Nintendo, Bomberman quickly established himself as a true legend of video games – he had even been so for a while since before the NES, he had been available on numerous machines since 1983. A title with iconic concept, where a bomber must blow up his opponents within convoluted levels: the strength of the title was certainly its multiplayer mode, promising wild evenings with friends and family members.

A time which will perhaps bring back sweet memories to some, also corresponding to an era where video games were sold in boxes with sometimes very substantial manuals. For now, the booklet for the Nintendo episode of Bomberman was actually full of humor: on Reddita player liked to share the photo of one of the pages, experiencing great success on the forum with more than 5,000 positive votes.

If you're playing a 5-win match and one of the players has already won 4, team up to bomb them. This can keep you alive long enough to catch up and annoy the leader. If he (or she) claims it's cheating, show him or her this paragraph from the textbook. We also hate whiners.

“When in doubt, have fun”

If the booklet does indeed provide real gaming advice, it is always fun to read certain jokes and jokes written directly by its author.

In Normal Mode, as long as your partner has a life, you can continue playing. Occasionally your status will change from “Game Over” to “Press Start”. This means your partner has gained an extra life. Honor their talent by using this resource to get back into the game. If they complain loudly, tell them it's a completely legitimate action.

We can even conclude with the last words of the page, which are ultimately very evocative: “When in doubt, have fun. Remember, this game brings out the competitor in all of us. Thank you for reading this manual.” A mantra which, ultimately, is still valid for all current multiplayer games!
