The executioner of hearts who capsized ours in the series One Day will play the role of a mathematical genius.

The thriller Prime Target, coming to Apple +, follows Edward Brooks (Leo Woodall), who is on the verge of a major computing breakthrough, when he realizes that someone is trying to destroy his idea. Agent Taylah Sanders was ordered to spy on him and report on his behavior. Together, they begin to understand that Brooks is in fact at the heart of a disturbing conspiracy.

In the first images released to the public, we see the actor as Edward Brooks, a mathematics student, wearing a tweed jacket and holding a leather notebook. We also discover the actress Quintessa Swindell. She plays Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent who doesn’t let one get by.

Prime Target was created by “Sherlock” screenwriter Steve Thompson, who also serves as executive producer alongside director Brady Hood.

The lead cast is joined by Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee and Joseph Mydell.

The series, divided into eight episodes, will be available on Apple TV+ from January 22.
