OnePlus Watch 2 updated with new apps and features

OnePlus has announced an update for its latest watch, the Watch 2. The model launched earlier this year as OnePlus’ second smartwatch, with a Nordic Blue Edition arriving in April. Today, the company offers software OPWWE231_11_A.94, or A.94, for the device.

The changelog lists a series of new features and improvements for the Watch 2. These include two new apps: Relax and Barometer. Relax offers breathing exercises, while Barometer can show your current altitude and air pressure. Users can now access the music controller during a workout by swiping left, and the workout UI has been optimized, with the number of fat burning zones displayed increasing from three to five . It’s also easier to remove a watch face and you can turn off the “Tap to wake” feature.

The Phone app has been changed to Power Saver mode: contacts and call logs are displayed and users can select their preferred contacts. Additionally, several algorithms related to training and health have been optimized, and bug fixes have been made. Alongside this smartwatch update, OnePlus also released version 4.22 of the OHealth app, with changes to the Fitness tab and a user interface optimized for foldable phones. OnePlus indicates that its latest update for the Watch 2 is being released over the air, without knowing whether it is a progressive release.
