Moflin is a small stuffed animal that looks like a guinea pig. She expresses her emotions with the aim of appeasing her owners.

Winner of the Innovation Award at CES 2021 in Las Vegas, Moflin is an adorable ball of fur, similar to a guinea pig. Its particularity? This little robotic animal is equipped with artificial intelligence. How you care for him will influence his emotions and develop his behavior.

A ball of fur full of emotions

A cross between a larva and a guinea pig, Moflin behaves almost like a pet. You will have to take care of and communicate with him. In response, his behavior will vary. He thus has a range of emotions that he expresses according to the way he moves and the sounds he produces.

The specificity of this little robot developed by the companies Venguard Industry and Casio is that it learns and develops its own personality as it goes. Multiplying interactions with him will direct his emotions. Calm, stressed, happy or sad, the bond between the user and the guinea pig will build their character.

A therapeutic tool

The small animal wants above all to become an object used in the field of mental health. Its rather cute appearance is intended to be soothing for owners. The objective is close to animal mediation, therapy by which animals are used to alleviate mental illnesses.

Via the application dedicated to him, we can know the emotions he experiences. These will reflect the user’s behavior towards the toy.

The little robotic plush toy is available for pre-order in Japan. But its international release has not yet been announced by Casio. It comes in two colors: gray and gold.
