iOS 18.2 would add these two major functions to Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence would arrive on October 28 via the iOS 18.1 update, only available on iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max and the iPhone 16. The Apple brand has not yet confirmed the release date put forward by Mark Gurman, the journalist from Bloomberg. The Cupertino company would take its time to ensure that the launch of Apple Intelligence goes smoothly. At the same time, she would also work hard to make iOS 18.2 even more complete than expected. The update could arrive with two Apple Intelligence features already mentioned in the past, but rather expected in 2025.

Two Apple Intelligence features will arrive sooner than expected, starting with iOS 18.2

Aaron Perris, journalist for MacRumors, has just discovered in Apple’s backend code that two new features should be available when Apple Intelligence launches on iOS 18.2, scheduled for the end of the year. The first would be Visual Intelligence, an equivalent of Google designed by Apple capable of giving information to the user on the element pointed by the camera.

During its September keynote, the American manufacturer explained that Visual Intelligence was launched by holding the new iPhone 16 camera control button, suggesting that the function will be exclusive to recent smartphones. Note that Visual Intelligence works with ChatGPT. Precisely, the other functionality which would be equipped Apple Intelligence at the launch of iOS 18.2 would ChatGPT in Siri. Integrating the chatbot with Apple’s Assistant would allow the user to get answers to more complex questions.

Now we have to wait for Apple to officially announce that these two functions will arrive at the launch of iOS 18.2. Mark Gurman, Bloomberg journalist, rather saw these new features arriving in 2025. Remember that, certainly, the image generator called Image Playground as well as Genmoji will be part of the new Apple Intelligence features brought by the iOS 18.2 update.
