Last January, a senior Motorola official said he was ready to “bet his salary” that, in three years, the company would be the world number 3 smartphone maker, overtaking Google, Honor, Huawei, OnePlus, Oppo, Sony or Xiaomi again by 2027. Ambitious! But the brand has the means. For 10 years, it has been a branch of the powerful Chinese group Lenovo which seems determined to expand its presence in the mobile phone market. The Edge 50 Neo is part of this strategy. We are talking here about an interesting mid-range model in terms of its technical profile. Quite thin (81 mm thick), it houses a very bright 6.4-inch OLED flat screen which benefits from adaptive refreshing, from 1 to 120 Hz. It is reinforced by Gorilla Glass 3. The processor supplied – MediaTek Dimensity 7300 – is not the equivalent of a Rolls, but it manages power consumption well.
