A little flashback: in January 2024, for the launch of the Galaxy S24, Samsung presented Galaxy AI, its suite of features boosted with artificial intelligence. Among them, the South Korean company, proudly displaying its partnership with Google, revealed to offer a new search tool, a sort of improved Google , exclusively on its high-end devices. Circle To Search has since joined Pixel smartphones, and more recently the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro.

Today, the function developed in Mountain View is abandoning its exclusive status a little more after Honor’s statements. The brand, formerly part of the giant Huawei, announced that it would add the search tool to its latest smartphone models, including the Magic V3 and the 200 series. Users can now search for information directly from the screen, simply by surrounding or highlighting content, without having to switch between different apps.

Circle To Search stands out for its ability to make search more intuitive and instantaneous. Whether you want to identify a piece of clothing or a ficus in an image spotted on social networks, translate a text in an exotic language that even linguists Google, or identify a song by an artist using vocoder, everything is done in a single gesture. This feature is already available on Honor’s folding smartphone, while the 200 series will benefit from the update in the coming weeks.

At a time when artificial intelligence has become a major selling point, Honor does not seem to want to fall behind. In addition to Circle To Search, the brand’s devices integrate other AI tools, such as AI Eraser, inspired by Google’s magic eraser, Magic Portal, or Face-to-Face Translation, which facilitates translation live during conversations.
