Valentin Bourdon created the association TCGa card game association, in 2019, in Caen (Calvados). Today, it brings together more than 200 members. Seeing that it was difficult to access all game licenses within the city, the young man decided to create his own business at the beginning of 2023. A year later, in February 2024, he opened his own store. He chose to call her Norman Mapsout of pride for his region.

Magic, Lorcana, Pokémon, One Piece…

The walls of the premises were painted by his mother, with the characters from the licenses.

We offer a lot: Magic, Lorcana, Pokémon, Yu-gi-oh!, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Star Wars, Cartfight Venguard, etc. And since we are resellers, we can organize official tournaments.

In addition to new packs and accessories, it has set up a second-hand buy-back and sales service. “We also offer free initiations. » You can also play on site, with your own cards, but maintaining consumption per hour, at the single price of 2 euros per unit.

A growing community

The community being more and more important in Caen, he also organizes “gaming sessions every week”. They take place on Wednesday and Friday, in the evening, at the store or at the association’s premises, located 21 promenade du Fort. They are open to everyone, from 7 to 77 years old, men or women. “You just need to want to have fun and be curious. »

Ultimately, Valentin also envisages “larger tournaments, with a departmental, regional, or even national scope”. In October, a meeting around Lorca will be held at the Caen Center neighborhood center for example.
