Pierre Rolland, a recently retired French cyclist, shared an unusual video on his Instagram account.
Indeed, during a session to keep in shape, the Frenchman found himself pursued by a young student with a look that did not conform to the world of cycling. The 17-year-old young man, in jeans and a backpack, seems to be holding the wheel of the former professional without too much difficulty.
The former Europcar racer then tried to accelerate to distance the young man, but without much success. Is Pierre Rolland already rusty? The reality is quite different: the student is part of a cycling club.
Pierre Rolland humorously put the event into perspective in his Instagram post: “Well… after trying to quietly let go of this young man, we still talked a little and he obviously reassured me about my physical state by telling me explaining that it was a young U17 from the @orleans.loiret.cyclisme club… Everything is explained! It’s okay, I can sleep peacefully. I still have some great days to spend on a bike…”
