Now that even iPhones have evolved and joined USB-C with the rest of us, you’d think Apple’s would do the same. However, the AirPods Max would insist on arriving with a Lightning port if you were to order a new pair tomorrow.

However, Ken Pillonel has done it again with the 41rP0d$ MAX, a flexible replacement cable that converts expensive Apple accessories to USB-C with all the miniature spacers and even precisely cut adhesive strips needed to fit them into the right cup of the headset instead of its Lightning port as usual.

Once again, as demonstrated by by the Canadian vlogger Phone Repair Guru, the kit is used on AirPods Max at the risk of the owner, mainly that of inflicting damage. cosmetic damage to the high-end accessory by hammering the metal ring around the charging port.

Still, the earbuds should be able to charge without the need for a Lightning cable repair kit, just like the newer AirPods Pro 2.

Again, the 41rP0d$ MAX kit is not compatible with other USB-C enclosures such as 3.5mm jack like this adapter from JSAUX which can be ordered in multiple colors on Amazon for just $5.39 with the code AUX2USBCvalid at the time of writing.
