Google has made nobody’s dream come true. Really no one ever asked for emojis to make noise, and yet Google has taken up the subject and today revealed “audio emojis”. They use the same concept of expressiveness as classic emoticons, but adding animations and sound effects to convey the message in a more fun and interactive way.
The site 9to5Google reveals that the feature is starting to be available on all the brand’s smartphones, namely the Google Pixels. For the moment, there are only 6 of them available and only during a phone call. The goal is for your interlocutor to be able to hear them on the other end of the phone to support whatever they are saying. The first 6 audio emojis are:
