Only a few weeks before a conference entirely dedicated to the next opus of Call of Duty, we learn that the new game in the franchise should be made official this month. This is in fact what we can deduce thanks to findings made with data mining.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 should be made official in May

Since yesterday, several references to “s3_cerberus_reveal” have been found in Call of Duty files following the deployment of Season 3 Reloaded. These are obviously mentions of the next Call of Duty, since we have already known for a few months thanks to Insider Gaming that its code name is Cerberus and that the image to illustrate the mysterious conference of June 9 depicts Cerberus, the dog with three heads.

The “s3” of course designates the current season, which will end on May 29. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 should therefore be revealed by the end of the month.

Also, dataming made it possible to spot other obvious references to Black Ops, such as the return of Frank Woods as an operator. It could be a pre-order bonus for Black Ops 6.

Finally, a weapon diagram of the 9mm Daemon was discovered, on which “SALLY VI” can be seen engraved. The most diligent will have understood, this is a reference to the Colt M1911 in Black Ops 2, which, once improved with the Sacré Punch machine in Zombies mode, became the Mustang and Sally.

The next few weeks are therefore likely to be exciting for fans of the franchise, since the title will then be fully revealed on June 9, directly after the Xbox Games Showcase conference.
