Well-thought-out golden architecture
The Golden House is far from classic and for good reason. It defies the codes of simple and authentic traditional mini-houses firstly through the essential part of its golden tinted glass structure, specially designed for this unique project.
Then, its reflective surface offers surprising privacy for glass, and its inhabitants can enjoy a 180-degree view of the exterior — since the rear of the house is in boisbois — while remaining protected from potential prying eyes. The golden hue varies depending on the time of day and seasonsseasonsproviding a changing appearance to the tiny house which sometimes even resembles a giant gold ingot.
Nothing is left to chance since the mini-house aims to be “ a unique life experience, but also a work of art in its own right”explains Jaak Tiik, the founder of ÖÖD. The materials and appliances used are high-end and gold is an integral part of the decoration (sink, door handles, curtains, lighting, etc.).)). For a small house, it weighs heavy, around 13 tons. A weight certainly due to all the “gold” she wears and which also has a price: 250,000 dollars, or almost 224,000 euros.
