New details have emerged about the HMD Aura 2, the successor to the budget smartphone HMD Aura announced four months ago. The leak, posted on the X platform by @smashx_60, reveals a display update and a new chipset for the upcoming phone.

Here’s what we know

The HMD Aura 2 will have a 6.56-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is significantly higher than the 60Hz of its predecessor. The smartphone will be equipped with dual cameras on the back: a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.8-megapixel secondary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The device will be powered by the new UNISOC T603 processor, which will offer better performance than the UNISOC SC9863A1. The phone will have 4GB of RAM and internal storage options of 64GB or 128GB, along with a MicroSD card slot.

The HMD Aura 2 will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, audio jack, USB-C port, OTG support, and IP52 protection. The 5000mAh battery will provide great battery life.

Post launch, the phone will be available in Blue and Grey colours.

There is no information yet on the launch date or price of the HMD Aura 2.
