Kate Winslet wears the Zurich label Yvy at the Zurich Film Festival

The boutique of the Swiss label Yvy in Zurich’s Seefeld was actually closed on Monday. “But if the phone rings and Kate Winslet wants to visit my shop, I’ll be happy to open it!” says Yvonne Reichmuth, the woman behind Yvy. She met the British actress and producer, who is presenting her new film “Lee” about the war photographer Lee Miller at the ZFF, while working with the watch brand Longines. Reichmuth created a bracelet for the “Dolcevita” watch, whose face is Winslet.

Custom-made belt

The reason for the call: Winslet still needed a belt for her walk on the green carpet on Monday evening and wanted to wear one from the Zurich label. With her came Kate Solomon, co-producer of “Lee”, Antony Penrose, the son of Lee Miller, who was involved in the development of the film, and a team from ZFF. The actress chose the “Buckle Belt” model for 245 francs. Since she wanted to wear gold jewelry, one with gold buckles and eyelets was made specifically that same day. She paired it with a “Rivet Bracelet”, also in black and gold.

She combined the accessories with the bright red jumpsuit that she wore on the green carpet and to the Golden Eye Award for her career to date. With its wide legs and halter cut, it was reminiscent of a classic evening dress, but offered significantly more freedom of movement. Winslet spent a lot of time with her fans, talking to them and signing autographs. “She is really very friendly, uncomplicated and authentic,” says Reichmuth. And it probably won’t be the star’s only appearance in Yvy: “They left with full pockets,” said the designer.
