As part of the NHL Global Series in the sold-out O2 Arena in Prague, the New Jersey Devils defeated the Buffalo Sabers 4-1.

The most successful scorers for the winner were Swiss superstar Nico Hischier, as well as Jonathan Kovacevic and Paul Cotter, each with one goal and one assist. The Sabres’ only goal was scored by Owen Power.

Before the match, an NHL legend made his grand entrance. Jaromir Jagr performed the symbolic opening face-off at the puck ceremony. He played 1,733 regular season games and recorded 1,921 points. With this haul, he ranks second in the all-time scoring list behind Wayne Gretzky (2857). At 52, Jagr is still active in the Czech Extraliga for Rytiri Kladno.
