FC Schaffhausen suffered its second defeat in a row in the Challenge League. The Munotstadt team lost 1-2 away to Neuchâtel Xamax. A false start by the guests decides the game.

Do you think Schaffhausen can finish in the top 3?

After just a quarter of an hour, the home team was leading by two goals at the Stade de la Maladière. Francesco Lentini puts the home team 1-0 ahead after just six minutes. After 14 minutes, Shkelqim Demhasaj doubled to make it 2-0.

Xamax then withdraws and lets the guests play the game – which they try unsuccessfully for a long time. Only after 87 minutes did FC Schaffhausen reward themselves for their committed performance. The 1:2 by Felipe Pasadore is just a cosmetic result.

At least for a short time, Xamax takes the lead in the table again ahead of FC Thun. The Bernese Oberlanders play away in Bellinzona later in the evening. With eleven points, Schaffhausen remains two points ahead of the bottom of the league, Lausanne-Ouchy.
