Lara Fabian returns with a new single

We told you about it a few days ago: Lara Fabian has just revealed to the public a brand new single, “I looked for you”, which will be extract from his next album which should be released at the end of November 2024. As we love her at M Radio, the singer came visit us during the 4 p.m./8 p.m. of Jérôme and Constancewho addressed all the subjects related to its current affairs. Starting with this brand new single:

It’s a song about time and lovewhich talks about how love can change over the years. What do we do with a state of love, a great friendship, a relationship, a passion, in what form does love evolve over time?

I speak from a space that belongs to me, but I connect to all those who are also going through love stories, with more or less ease, joy, obstacles. ‘I’ve been looking for you’ is about never, ever letting go of that connection with any state of love.

Obviously, we also tried to find out more about this new album which is coming, and here again the singer did not need to be pushed to talk about love, a theme that she loves to tackle:

I am an incorrigible love storytellerI always have been, my career is paved with songs that speak of this element. I think there will be a lot of forgiveness and a lot of acceptance of what may have hurt us in a life where, at one point, we surely had hatred and anger. What do we do with this anger, which is ultimately a refusal of reality? How do we transform it? This album talks a lot about this transformation.

Upcoming tour and complicity with Slimane

Jérôme and Constance also wanted to know what the relationship was with Slimane, who will be present on the album. Lara Fabian told us a little more about this very strong connection between her and the singer.

I really felt the urgency to know him and to be around him, I called him, I told him ‘there you go, I watch you move in space, I watch what you say, what you do, how you sing, and I have the feeling of immense belonging, I have the impression that we knows yourself in another way’ and I was not mistaken. When we met, it was very clear: we had a lot of common pains, obstacles and joys. […] We are a lot alike on a lot of things, we both have this taste for intensity and so it was super easy to sit down, talk to each other, and then write down what we told each other.

Finally, we also tickled the singer to see if she could tell us more about her tour which will begin in exactly one year.

I have a lot of gratitude for these people who have been coming to see me for several generations, and who still want to love these same songs. I’m going to do a mix of these songs, my standards, but I’m going to integrate them into what this album is today.

We can say that Lara Fabian had things to tell! From now on, we are impatiently awaiting this new album, which should not be long.
