Internet users explain an important detail about a scene involving Isabelle

In Thursday’s episode of STAT, Isabelle (Geneviève Schmidt) met with her oncologist. He told her that she had no lymph node metastases, but he didn’t have all good news.

He revealed to her that her “oncotype” was “quite high”, at 27. He then told her that she was going to have to do chemotherapy, then radiotherapy.

On social networks, many viewers wrote that they did not understand what the doctor had taught Isabelle. What did this famous “27” mean? We ourselves were confused. Fortunately, we can always count on fans of STAT to help us. Indeed, several relevant explanations have been formulated on Facebook.

« In premenopausal women with breast cancer with or without lymph nodes, if the Oncotype score is 26 or higher, a more aggressive treatment plan including both hormonal therapy and chemotherapy is usually recommended »

« Oncotype, between 0 and 25, there is a low risk of recurrence and chemotherapy treatment is not useful. Between 26 and 100 there is a high risk of recurrence »

We thank these learned viewers for enlightening us!
