Finally the creative environment you are looking for? Anderlecht would turn to the Netherlands – All

We know: Olivier Renard’s specifications include a creative environment. Is the rare gem trained… by Peter Maes?

Olivier Renard has work to do. Already very active in this first half of the transfer window with the arrivals of Adryelso and César Huerta for the A team, but also of Enzo Sternal and Ibrahim Kanaté for the Futures (without forgetting the departures of Anders Dreyer and Zanka), the sports director of RSC Anderlecht wants to continue his momentum.

So, as we explained to you earlier, Renard is still targeting a left-handed central defender (which Adryelson is not), a midfielder (if possible creative) and an attacker. Regarding the midfielder, International claims that Anderlecht is prospecting in the Eredivisie.

The Dutch daily newspaper tells us of Brussels’ interest in young people Ringo Meerveld (22 years old), who plays for Willem II. The Mauves would, however, have competition since AZ, FC Twente and Utrecht would also be interested in this Dutch central midfielder.

Meerveld is capable of playing in 10 or 8, and has 4 goals and 2 assists this season for Willem II in the Eredivisie. He plays there under the orders of an old acquaintance from the Belgian championship, since the Tilburg club has been coached by Peter Maes since 2023 now. Willem II is currently 12th in Dutch D1.

Ringo Meerveld is valued at €2 million by Transfermarkt and is under contract at Willem II until 2026.
