Kevin Fiala ended a five-game drought Thursday night in the NHL.

The Saint-Welsh Kings forward scored his first goal of 2025 in a game won 5-1 by Los Angeles on the ice of Pius Suter’s Canucks.

Credited with an assist on Alex Turcotte’s 2-0 (10th), Kevin Fiala scored the 4-1 on a power play in the 36th minute. He now has 24 points in this 2024/25 financial year, including 15 goals. Pius Suter, however, did not score a point in this game.

Captain of the Devils, Nico Hischier signed a double for his 20th and 21st successes of the season. But the Valaisan was not smiling at the end of a match lost 4-3 after extra time against Toronto: New Jersey has only won 2 of its last 9 matches. Timo Meier made an assist on Hischier’s 3-2.

Roman Josi also made an assist in a match won 3-2 on penalties by Nashville against the Chicago Blackhawks still deprived of Philipp Kurashev (supernumerary). The Predators captain now has 30 points – including 22 assists – on his personal tally for 2024/25.
